Coin-Covered White Alligator Found at US Zoo

US zoo extracts 70 coins from white alligator

A zoo in the US made headlines recently after extracting 70 coins from a white alligator’s stomach. The alligator, named Alabaster, had ingested the coins that were thrown into its enclosure by visitors.

The coins were discovered during a routine check-up by the zoo’s veterinary team. Concerned about the alligator’s health, they decided to perform surgery to remove the foreign objects from its stomach.

Thankfully, the surgery was successful and Alabaster is now recovering well. The zoo has since taken measures to prevent visitors from throwing coins into enclosures, in order to protect the animals from harm.

This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of respecting animals in captivity and not engaging in behavior that can endanger their health and well-being.
